The BMW S58 engine in the G8X platform is an evolution of BMW’s legendary inline-six lineage — but as power levels rise, the factory charge air cooler manifold becomes one of its biggest weaknesses. The OEM setup uses a crimped plastic plenum mated to a tube-and-fin intercooler core, which struggles to handle even mild increases in boost pressure. Many have seen failures at just a few PSI over stock.
The RVNG RaceWorks Charge Air Cooler Manifold eliminates these limitations entirely. Engineered from cast aluminum with a fully TIG-welded bar-and-plate core, this manifold is built to withstand extreme boost pressures and heat cycles—making it ideal for both high-performance street builds and full track applications.
Every internal surface was CFD-optimized to ensure balanced flow across all six cylinders, eliminating hot spots and ensuring consistent fueling under load.
